Mai Sakurajima is the local celebrity of Japan, a third year high school student attending at Minegahara high school near Enoshima. She is an upperclassman from Sakuta's perspective, thus being his senpai. Mai contains a deep personality that has sprouted from her job as a model. Just like Sakuta said, Mai contains a twisted personality that hurts her social relationships. In the anime community, Mai is can be classified as an individual with a "Tsundre" attitude. While her normal personality would be unkind and cold, she does open up her heart to few people who understands and cares about her.
